Tala, the financial lending solution for the underbanked, has raised $110M in Series D funding from investors that include GGV Capital, Data Collective DCVC, IVP (Institutional Venture Partners), Lowercase Capital, Revolution, Thomvest Ventures, PayPal Ventures, and RPS Ventures. Founded by Shivani Siroya in 2011, Tala has now raised a total of $219.4M in reported equity funding.

Luk, the booking platform for talent that includes models, photographers, makeup artists, and stylists, has raised $2.75M in Seed funding from according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $3.5M and that this close comes from seventy-one investors. Luk was founded by Zack Parker and Matt Finelli in 2016.
