Venice-based stealth mobility startup Metropolis has raised $17.2M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that there were twenty-two investors- including Slow Ventures and RXR Realt y - and that the total filing is for $17.5M. Metropolis was founded by Alexander Israel , Travis Kell , and Courtney Fukuda in 2017.

Podcasting network Wondery has raised $10M in Series B funding from investors that include G reycroft , Lerer Hippeau , Advancit Capital , Waverley Capital , and Powerhouse Ventures . Founded by Hernan Lopez in 2016, Wondery has now raised a total of $15M in reported equity funding.

Frequency , the cloud-based internet video platform, has raised $5M in additional funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $10M. Investors in previous rounds include Liberty Global Ventures , John Fees , Oakmont Corporation , and Ideanomics . Founded by Blair Harrison in 2010, Frequency previously raised a total of $14M in reported equity funding.

MeWe is a new social media website based on respecting privacy, and it raised $4.5M in funding from investors that include Mark Britto (Chairman and Founder of Boku). MeWe was founded by Mark Weinstein in 2015 and it has now raised a total of $14.5M across six rounds.

StyleRow , the collaboration and operating platform for the interior design industry, has raised $4.3M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that there were twenty-nine investors in this close and that the total offering is for $4.6M. Beverly Hill-based StyleRow was founded by Erinn Valencich in 2018.

Miss Grass , the cannabis-focused lifestyle publication and e-commerce shop for women, has raised $4M in Seed funding from investors that include Advancit Capital, Third Kind Venture Capital , Listen , Firstminute Capital , Casa Verde Capital , Assia Grazioli , and Rachel Springate . Venice-based Miss Grass was cofounded by Anna Duckworth in 2017.

eSports startup Super League Gaming has raised an additional $1M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. Founded by David Steigelfest in 2014, Super League Gaming previously raised a total of $34M in reported equity funding.
