Joymode, the platform that lets you rent a variety of items on demand that capitalizes on the sharing economy, has raised $14M in Series A funding led by Naspers. Founded by Joe Fernandez, Keith Walker, and Waynn Lue, the downtown LA-based startup has raised a total of $16.3M over three funding rounds since its founding in 2015.

Epics.gg, the digital trading card platform for esports founded by Gavin Weeks, has raised $2M in seed funding from investors that include Courtside Ventures, BITKRAFT Esports Ventures, Jon Goldman, Hersh Interactive Group, Everblue Management, and Imagination Capital.

Maverick, the West Hollywood-based creator network for change makers founded by Brooke Chaffin and Catherine Connors in 2017, has raised $1.7M in seed funding from investors that include BBG Ventures, Jeff Weiner, Heroic Ventures, Xplorer Capital, and Hunt Technology Ventures.

Mammoth Media, the mobile first studio lot founded in 2015 by Benoit Vatere and Matt Turner, has raised $13M in Series A funding from investors that include Greylock Partners and Science.

Wag, the discovery and booking platform for dog walkers, harsa raised $300M in funding from SoftBank. Founded by Jason Meltzer and Joshua Viner in 2014, Wag has now raised a total of $361.5M over five rounds.

NEXT Trucking, the platform that connects shippers and truckers, has raised $21M in Series B funding from Sequoia Capital. Founded by Elton Chung and Lidia Yan in 2015, NEXT Trucking has now raised a total of $27.3M over four funding rounds.

Funraise, the platform for non profit fundraising, has raised $9.7M in Series A funding from Toba Capital. Founded by Jason Swenski, Justin Wheeler, and Tony Sasso in 2015, the company has now raised a total of $12.7M in funding over two rounds.

Beauty By Design, the platform that provides a text-based skincare consultation, has raised $2.2M in Seed funding led by Resolute.vc and joined in by Ludlow Ventures, Troy Capital Partners, Spencer Rascoff, TenOneTen Ventures, Sean Collins and Andy Weissman. This is the Startup’s first round of funding.

Avisare, the centralized network for all businesses to discover new contract opportunities, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Seed round of funding from Backstage Capital. The company had raised $1.7M prior to this round.
