Nomva , the snack company, has raised $3M in a Series A round from Evolution Media Partners as well as Taylor Fresh Foods. This is founder Caroline Beckman’s first round of funding.

ATTN: , the social impact content network, has raised $18M in a Series B round funded by Ross Levinsohn, Cash Warren, Seacrest Global Group, Main Street Advisors, Paul Wachter, RTS Ventures, Marc Rowan and Evolution Media Partners.

Mayor Garcetti's office has named Eva Ho and Jason Nazar as the city's newest entrepreneurs in residence. Eva and Jason replace Krisztina "Z" Holly and Amir Tehrani who served as the inaugural EIRs for the city.

KAT , the omni-directional treadmill for virtual reality, has raised $1M in an Angel round from Unity Ventures. The product seeks to enhance VR video games.

EagleRider , the company that provides the true motorcycle experience, has announced a funding from Main Post Partners. The company is geared towards the enthusiast with a diverse selection of motorcycles models.

Locent , the SMS marketing program, has raised their 2 nd round in a $750K Seed round from Investors Mike Benvenuti, Chaac Ventures and Y Combinator. Founder Matt Joseph has raised $1.38M for the young company.

Overnight , the last minute booking app for lodging, has raised $2.5M in a Seed round for the company’s first round. The round, led by Crosscut Ventures and Accomplice, included 25 investors.

55haitao , the Chinese cashback online shopping guide to shopping in the US/UK, has raised a $15M Series A round. This is the first round for the company.

Signal Science , the cybersecurity company, has raised $9.7M in a Series A round led by Index Ventures with participation from Oreilly AlphaTech Ventures, Harrison Metal, Bryce Roberts, Michael Dearing and Shardul Shah.
