At LATechWatch, we love to hear from the Los Angeles community about how to better promote LA entrepreneurship. Trevor Doerksen, CEO and Founder of Mobovivo, gives a great and simple suggestion: “Create a HBO TV Series”. Easier said than done, we understand; but if you mix in actors, athletes and celebrities with authentic and behind-the-scenes content, a Hollywood style pitch may be around the corner.
Trevor sits down with LATechWatch and introduces us to his company, Mobovivo.
Tell us about the product or service.
Mobovivo is a multi-platform and multi-channel network that amplifies video and TV content across channels and across platforms. We are a team of marketers, engineers, and TV producers that turn video content into engagement and revenue.
How is it different?
Mobovivo focuses on authentic, behind-the-scenes content. We measure audience curiosity after every sports play, social and TV moment and drive engagement with the content and people behind the headlines.
What market are you attacking and how big is it?
Mobovivo is attacking a $6B market where advertisers join talent to engage with fans.
What is the business model?
Mobovivo pays content creators such as, athletes, actors, and celebrities, for authentic, behind-the-scenes video content and photos and sells it to advertisers. Mobovivo’s platform manages the media and provides content marketing and distribution technology for TV, social and mobile.
Mobovivo’s founder used to make snowboard films and for years has worked directly with TV and sports talent. When working for sports networks over the last couple years, Mobovivo realized celebrities and athletes have their own social network that often exceeds a TV networks social and broadcast network combined.
What are the milestones that you plan to achieve within six months?
